Reclaimed Wood
We’re certainly not the first ones you’ve heard mention “reclaimed wood” in the last 48 hours, but it’s for good reason! Adding rustic elements is a quick way to make an impact on your home with both color and texture, and you can use them in big or small doses to get the exact effect you want. Whether you choose to accent an entire wall or simply incorporate some open shelving, reclaimed wood infuses charm and warmth into a space without breaking the bank. You can source the wood locally and Do It Yourself or invest in a product with us, which certainly it cost money, but can save you a lot of time and energy in the long run.
Wall molding
Some of the most charming rooms we’ve ever seen are filled with thick crown moldings, board or beadboard. If you like the look of traditional wainscoting but don’t have the patience, beadboard is your new best friend.
This lightweight material looks fantastic across bathrooms, kitchens, and dining rooms. Made even more popular by HGTV’s Fixer Upper, beadboard will add character and texture to your walls. Leave it classic white, or paint it a fun color to add a lived in look to your home. I would consider do it myself or get an expert.
